Recipe for loose stools

2 organic apples, cored and cooked

2 large organic carrots, cooked

Wash the apples and carrots but do not peel

Chop into small chunks and cook until soft, either by baking, boiling, pressure cooking, or crockpot. Mash together. Add grated raw ginger and/or cinnamon to taste.

Eat 1/2-1 cup at a time. Avoid filling yourself beyond 80% full.

Caution: eating fruit and vegetables cold will increase the frequency/duration of the loose stool.

Root Vegetable Mash for boosting your Qi and reducing sugar cravings

This recipe is most efficient in a crockpot, instant pot, or pressure cooker. It can be done in a large stockpot on the stove.

The bigger the variety of roots and tubers the greater the nutrition, the more balanced and the more flavorful. The sweetness and color of the sweet potato and beets tend to take over all other flavors, so have fun blending in new roots you've never tried or tried on their own and didn't enjoy.

Approximately equal amounts of

Yam

Sweet potato

Red Beet

Golden Beet

Celery Root

Turnip

Parsnip

Butternut squash

Carrots

Yellow onion

2-3 cloves of garlic peeled and sliced or grated

1 inch of peeled and grated ginger root

Wash, peel, and cube all vegetables. Discard seeds. Smaller cubes cook faster than bigger cubes. Retain the peels on carrots and sweet potatoes of organic and washed well. This increases nutrients and fiber.

Pressure cooker: Add 1/2 c of water, veg. stock, chicken stock or bone broth to all of the vegetables. Ginger, garlic, and onion. Cook on high until it comes to pressure. Reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool naturally. Once all the pressure is released mash all of the roots together or add to a food processor and blend. Enjoy warm.

Instant Pot: As above following the manufacturer's recommendations for mashed potatoes.

Crock-Pot: As above, cook on high for 4-8 hours depending on quantity. Mash all of the roots together or add to a food processor and blend. Enjoy warm.

Stores easily for a week in the refrigerator. It makes a wonderfully easy and beautiful side, snack or lunch.

White Chestnut

"For those who cannot prevent thoughts, ideas, arguments which they do not desire from entering their minds. Usually at such times when the interest of the moment is not strong enough to keep the mind full. Thoughts which worry and still remain, or if for a time thrown out, will return. They seem to circle round and round and cause mental torture. The presence of such unpleasant thoughts drives out peace and interferes with being able to think only of the work or pleasure of the day." - Dr. Edward Bach

Keywords: Repeated unwanted thoughts, mental arguments, concentration, sleeplessness, insomnia.

Human Indication: When your mind is cluttered with thoughts or mental arguments. You may be unable to sleep because of the thoughts.

Take home ear seeds, gems with gold press balls and ear tacks

Tacks have been placed on 4 points in the Left ear to give you a continuous mini treatment throughout the week. Press the tacks a few times a day and especially when you are feeling stressed. Press them until you get a slight dull ache. Notice as your symptoms subside when you press (activate) the points.

If at any time the gems get irritating, irritated, or otherwise uncomfortable remove them and throw them away. Do not try to re-apply them. If they fall off on their own, throw them away. Always remove them after 5 days.

Hot water bottle

Place a hot water bottle on lower belly, below your belly button and/ or on your low back for 20 minutes before bed or anytime during the day you feel stiff or cold.

Daily Movement

Assure that your body is in motion at least 45 minutes every day. This can be broken up into smaller intervals. Assure that all of your joints are moved during the day. Start and your fingers and toes, move to your wrists and ankles and keep moving inward to the waist. Remember the move the entire length of your spine. All movements are gentle, slow, without pain. If it is painful to move a joint, slow down the movement.

An easy thing you can do to warm up your body and digestion:

Drink warm beverages, when thirsty choose 4 oz of warm water with lemon if you like

Grate 1 inch of peeled raw ginger into a quart jar, fill the jar with boiled water, cover and let steep at least 15 minutes. Drink this when you are thirsty throughout the day. Always drink it warmed or room temperature, never cold.

Soak your feet in warm ginger tea, make as above but no need to peel the ginger, in fact, save your peels from your drink and add them to this foot soak.

Place a hot water bottle on lower belly, below your belly button and/ or on your low back for 20 minutes before bed.

Avoid cold foods. This is the season of soups and stews, root vegetables and cooked greens.
